National Cybersecurity Cluster Became a Platform for Cyber Dialogue at the International Level for the Second Time

14.11.2023

CRDF Global in Ukraine together with the National Cyber Security Coordination Center (NCSCC) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) held an international meeting of the initiative in Czech Republic.

“Since 2021, CRDF Global and the NCSCC, with the support of the U.S. Department of State, have been holding regular coordination meetings of key stakeholders in the cybersecurity sector to strengthen the resilience of the national cybersecurity system. The Cluster sessions have repeatedly become a starting point for making vital decisions, building fruitful partnerships, and strengthening capabilities. Engaging European partners in cyber dialogue is not just an opportunity to share experiences and best practices. First of all, it is a step towards deepening cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in this area,” said Mykhailo Verych, Regional Director, CRDF Global in Ukraine.

The event included three panel discussions on cyber defense, public-private partnership, and coordination of efforts between countries in the field of cybersecurity.

“Today we are not talking about separate Russian cyberattacks on Ukraine, but about the first global cyberwar. And to counter this war, we are forming an effective international cyber coalition. This opens up new opportunities to strengthen our cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and share best practices with NATO and the EU. We highly appreciate the assistance of our partner countries, in particular the Czech Republic, and are grateful for their support,” emphasized Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Serhii Demediuk.

Representatives of the main relevant authorities of the Ukrainian and Czech sides and leading private sector players joined the multilateral dialogue.

The event brought together about 250 participants in online and offline formats.
