Vulnerability

A vulnerability refers to a flaw in a system that can leave it open to attack.

Vishing

Vishing is the telephone equivalent of phishing. It is an attempt to scam someone over the phone into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft.

Virus

A computer virus is a malicious software program loaded onto a user’s computer without the user’s knowledge and performs malicious actions.

Virtual private network

A virtual private network (vpn) extends a private network across a public network, such as the internet. Vpn enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. A vpn is created by establishing a virtual point-to-point connection through the use of dedicated connections, virtual tunneling protocols, or traffic encryption.
