Cybersecurity in the healthcare field is of crucial importance, especially during the Martial Law in Ukraine. Sin each organization in the sector processes large arrays of patients` personal data, effective cyber protection becomes a prerequisite for the stability in the sphere and effectiveness of medical services. 

The peculiarities, challenges, and threats in the Healthcare system`s cybersecurity were discussed by leading Ukrainian industry players, representatives of the peer foreign institutions and private sector at the 19th Cluster session.

Jens Monrad
Head of Mandiant Threat Intelligence Analysis, EMEA

Jens Christian Høy Monrad has worked in IT security for over 20 years and is currently the head of Mandiant Threat Intelligence EMEA, now part of Google Cloud.

Previously, Jens worked as a senior principal analyst. He provided analysis based on the latest threat intelligence to help organizations understand the risks they face in the cyber domain. His scope includes attacks on both public and private organizations by cybercriminal groups, state-linked actors, as well as hacktivists. He has counseled some of the world’s largest companies, including several of the largest financial and government organizations, including defense and intelligence organizations.

Jens sits on the security council for The Danish IT Industry Association and several sub-industry groups focusing on cyber espionage, cybercrime, information sharing, and emerging threats.

Serhii Prokopenko
Head of the NCSCC Support Department

Mr. Serhii Prokopenko is the Head of the NCCC Support Department and Deputy Head of Information Security and Cybersecurity Directorate at the NSDC of Ukraine. He has 20 years of experience in cybersecurity. Now he is responsible for the coordination of all the stakeholders, developing the NCCC’s analytical and technological platform, improvement of Cyber Threats Intelligence (CTI) exchange and sharing mechanisms, organization of training programs for specialists from the public sector and critical infrastructures, building Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), international cooperation, control of the Cybersecurity Strategy implementation plan.

Mr. Serhii Prokopenko is the Head of the NCCC Support Department and Deputy Head of Information Security and Cybersecurity Directorate at the NSDC of Ukraine. Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine

Mr. Demediuk’s main areas of competence include the state’s cyber- and information security, critical infrastructure, and public and state security. Serhii Demediuk held a Chief of the Cyberpolice Department of the National Police of Ukraine position. Under his direct leadership, a Cyberpolice was successfully established in Ukraine.
